Dr. S.A.Jawed who is the current Chairman of Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank, is General Manager of second largest Public Sector Bank, Punjab National Bank.
He has vast experience of working as Chief Manager and AGM across the country as well as heading Muzaffarpur Circle as Circle Head and as Divisional Head at PNB, HO, New Delhi.
He came on deputation from PNB in 2019 and has been instrumental in stabilizing the merger of eBGB with eMBGB as also in migration of its CBS platform to Finacle Version 10 (latest in the industry) to give at par service to its 1.50 Crore Customers. He also made it possible to bring CTS (Cheque Truncation System) to each of its 1078 Branches for prompt and paperless clearing of customers’ instruments.
The initiatives taken by him in the field of rural development in the state of Bihar has been very instrumental. Under his guidance Bank is smoothly working to make successful various Govt. schemes such as AIF (Agri Infra Fund), PMFME (Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing), KCC (Crop, Animal Husbandry, Fishery and Poultry), Investment Credit etc.
DBGB has worked as a Leader Bank in providing credit facility to women through Self Help Groups with the help of JEEViKA in rural areas.
